STORY

Doug (Jack Black) and Griff (Paul Rudd) have been best friends since childhood and share a lifelong obsession with the 1997 cinematic “classic” Anaconda. Struggling with their respective careers—Doug as a wedding videographer and Griff as a background actor—they decide to pursue their ultimate dream. Securing a loan, they round up their old friends and head deep into the Brazilian Amazon to shoot a low-budget indie remake of their favorite film.

Their ambitious but comically chaotic production relies on simple equipment and the help of locals, including mysterious boat captain Ana and eccentric snake handler Santiago. However, things quickly escalate from silly to deadly serious when an actual giant anaconda emerges from the depths of the rainforest. What was supposed to be a fun, nostalgic midlife-crisis project transforms into a terrifying fight for survival.

As the massive apex predator begins terrorizing the jungle and hunting the crew one by one, Doug, Griff, and their friends must rely on their wits to survive.
