Episodes 01

“XO”

Kitty Song Covey is in a long-distance relationship with her boyfriend Dae, who lives in Korea. She is offered a full scholarship at Korea Independent Seoul School, where Dae is a student and her mom studied as well. Wanting to see Dae and feel a connection to her mom, she convinces her dad to let her go. In the airport she missed the bus taking her to the school, and is accidentally hit on the street by Yuri, a popular student at KISS whose mom is the principal. Yuri offers her a ride to the school, and the chauffer turns to be Dae’s dad. Yuri has a secret relationship with a girl called Juliana, and to cover her lie she has Dae pose as her boyfriend, having his tuition being paid all semester. Kitty arrives to the school’s welcome party and is thrilled to see Dae, but leaves heartbroken when Yuri tells her Dae is her boyfriend.

Episodes 02

“WTF”

Dae tries explaining the truth to Kitty, but she refuses to listen to him. However, due to the school confusing her as a guy she finds out her roommates are Dae and his two friends Q and Min Ho. She locks herself in the room wanting to leave next morning but changes her mind when noticing some places where her mom posed in pictures. Yuri’s dad, an important businessman has a scandal after a viral video of him treating badly an employee, especially after Yuri makes a meme out of it. Yuri’s mom proposes a solution: since Yuri had Dae’s tuition payed all semester, they make public the relationship as mentioning how the company offers scholarships to low social students during a press conference. Dae’s dad goes look for him interrupting a moment between Dae and Kitty, while Yuri explains to Dae everything has changed and will continue pretending to be her couple. Noticing how Dae refuses to grab Yuri’s hand during the press conference, Kitty suspects the relationship is fake.

Episodes 03

“KISS”

It’s the first day of school at KISS, and Kitty has been nicknamed “Portland Stalker”. Dae wants to tell Kitty the truth about his relationship with Yuri, but he’s told to sign a confidentiality pact and keep it a secret. Yuri tells she doesn’t mind she knows as long the real reason is not said. A teacher tells the principal he suspects Dae made one of Yuri’s assignments, making Yuri have her credit card taken away, ruining her chances of having a trip with Juliana who after being dissapeared went to look for her at the school. Kitty discovers Q has a crush on a guy called Florian and helps them be partners in Chemistry class. Min Ho is rude to Kitty during class, and she makes public his nickname “Poopy Baby” since he had a commercial as a baby having everyone make fun of him. Kitty is assigned to have a tutor, which turns out to be Dae. Yuri tells Dae how Kitty made public Min Ho’s secret, making him be disappointed in Kitty breaking up with her, giving her back her necklace(which he was wearing) and telling her that his relationship with Yuri is real. A baby necklace from 1993 falls from Kitty’s mom’s diary making her realize her mother had a baby when she was a teenager.

Episodes 04

“TGIF”

Kitty is changed to another dorm after Min Ho reports the mistake. She moves to another dorm with a girl who is only playing videogames and is messy. Kitty tries approaching Dae as a friend sharing everything she has discovered lately on her mother. She joins Q’s outdoor activity club to have privacy with him, but Min Ho tells Yuri and she arrives as well. When taking a picture for Yuri, she finds the hospital where mom gave birth. She manages to get inside to the record room and discovers she has a half-brother who was adopted by an Australian couple. Professor Finnerty goes to her rescue and she suspects he might be her half-brother.Min Ho shares a video Kitty’s roommate filmed while she was asleep, and the boys suggest she moves out. Q suggests she moves back again with them,causing tension between Dae and Kitty.

Episodes 05

“TBH”

Chuseok, Korean Thanksgiving is happening, in which people go back home to spend time with family. Kitty plans a dinner with Finnerty and other students who have traveled abroad and tell him about them probably being related. Yuri questions her mom about her and Eve Song being friends in KISS, but she denies being close to her. Since Yuri’s parents start fighting due to him traveling for work, she goes to Dae’s home to celebrate the holiday there. A messenger gave her a package Kitty sent to Dae, which includes the necklace she gave him at first but doesn’t hands it to him. Kitty prepares her mashed potatoes, but not knowing lactose intolerance is common in Asians she causes Min Ho to miss his date to a pop star called Lulu but helps have a date the next night. Alex shares with Kitty that Mr. Lee is his father, but he doesn’t know and prefers it that way. Kitty tells him something between their mother and Lee, seems something unusual, to which he reacts shocked listening to her. Yuri arrives home where she sees her mother prepared food but sent her to bed. When she’s on her own she rips a page from a 1993 yearbook where she and Eve Covey are together and burns it, meaning she lied about not being close to her.

Episodes 06

“BYOB”

Min Ho has a dream with Kitty implying he has developed feelings for her. Kitty is upset at Dae for not thanking her for giving him back the necklace, not knowing Yuri kept it. Kitty wants to talk to Professor Lee and get to know him better, and Have Alex speak with Margot and Lara Jean, but Alex tells her not everyone has a “Kitty Schedule” and its better to focus on her studies. Q invites Kitty to assist Min Ho’s party, and she is determined to find someone new to kiss. Yuri lies to her mother telling she’ll go out with Dae but she’s a DJ at Min Ho’s party. Kitty meets a guy named Geon but loses interest when he starts badmouthing Yuri. Kitty sends a text to Alex, but accidentally sends it to Lee, who informs Gina about the party. She tracks Yuri on her phone and understands her daughter lied to her. Lee and Gina arrive to end the party, and it is hinted they have a romantic past. Dae confronts Yuri on why she hid the necklace from him, but before she can say something her mother has stopped the music. Min Ho sees sadly how Dae and Kitty speak, not knowing Kitty has ended everything with him and he kisses Madison. The episode ends with Kitty having a dream with Yuri, meaning she has developed feelings for her.

Episodes 07

“TIL”

The students caught in the party are punished with detention at school on Saturday, and Professor Lee tells everyone it was Kitty who texted her informing about the party. Yuri tells Dae she was afraid he would stop being her friend and would leave her to be with Kitty, and because of that didn’t give him the necklace. She plans giving the necklace back to Kitty, but after finding out she has been living with Dae, she wears it instead at the library, causing friction with Kitty. Yina sees the necklace and believes it’s hers, making it clear for Kitty and Yuri she has lied about her relationship with Eve. They look for the 1993 yearbook at Lee’s house, and Kitty sees at the picture of both Yina and Eve wearing their necklaces,in which the one who is pregnant is Yina, meaning she could be Alex’s mom. Yuri searching for information about her mom in her office discovers she had sent Juliana away. As a payback she calls the paparazzi and breaks up with Dae, texting her mom she will never forgive her for what she did.Dae looks for Kitty hoping to be with her.

Episodes 08

“LFG”

Since they have reunited Kitty and Dae only kiss, making her frustrated since she wants to talk about his relationship with Yuri, and he doesn’t making her doubt she can trust him. The students travel to a village affected by floods and they help restore the surroundings. Q’s and Florian’s relationship is passing a hard moment since Florian’s parents want him to move to Greece. Yuri tells Kitty the truth on herself, how she’s gay and asked Dae helped her. With Margot’s help,Kitty manages to find Juliana and have her facetime with Yuri. Dae prepares a surprise for Kitty, telling her he loves her and she responds back saying she loves him as well. Min Ho realizes he wants a relationship, and since Madison doesn’t want the same they part ways. Kitty tells Yuri everything went well with Dae, but as soon as she sees Yuri talking with Juliana she realizes she’s not happy.

Episodes 09

“SNAFU”

Jina is jogging, and Alex goes look for her saying he’s her son, and she admits that when she gave birth she used Eve’s name at the hospital, to which she agreed. Jina tells her husband, and she tells her to pay him so he can disappear. Yuri overhears the conversation and understands she has a half-brother. She comes out to her mom and leaves her house moving with Kitty and the guys. Kitty needs to pass all her classes, or she won’t continue at the school. Everybody helps her study and agrees to participate on a talent show in which Lee offers extra credit in their lowest classes. Alex mentions he’ll leave the school and never return, but Kitty tells him to stay since Yuri knows she has a half-brother and wants to meet but, but Kitty hasn’t told her it’s Alex since Alex asked her not to say anything to Yuri.Min Ho and Dae suspect Florian is cheating on Q, but it turns out he has cheated on the final exams. Yuri offers to teach Kitty a dance with fans, making Kitty nervous on being with her during the rehearsal. Before the performance Jina approaches Yuri telling her Alex is her half-brother, acting shocked, to which Jina says she imagined Kitty told her. That causes Yuri and Kitty to argue during the performance, and Kitty’s dress catches fire due to some fireworks that were going to be used. Min Ho jumps to the stage and helps her, while Dae looks at the way Min Ho looks at her and discovers he has feelings for Kitty. Jina introduces Yuri and Alex as siblings and walks together with them. Kitty confesses to Dae she has feelings for another person, and believing she refers to Min Ho, he walks away angrily to confront him.

Episodes 10

“OTP”

Kitty tells Dae the other person she has feelings for is Yuri, making him feel hurt and leaves. Jina tells Lee that Alex is his son, and that she didn’t tell him so he wouldn’t change his goals and retain him. The finals results are shared and Kitty passed all her classes, but is expelled when it is found she has been living in the boys dorm.Kitty gives Jina music she downloaded believing it was for her mom, and Jina hands her a letter that Eve wrote to her but never answered back.Florian gets the best results, meaning he stays at school but jeopardizes Dae’s scholarship as he needs to be the best in order to keep it, placing Q in a hard position. Kitty breaks up with Dae telling him he would be the first boy she has ever loved, and he tells he has loved her too. Yuri is on the airport waiting for Juliana, and Kitty is about to tell her how she feels when Juliana appears and she leaves. Yuri calls her mother and tells her it’s a mistake to expel Kitty. Kitty reads the letter on the plane and finds out her mother’s first love was someone called Simon. Min Ho is seated next to her traveling to see his mom in LA and confesses his feelings to her leaving her dumbfounded.
